Two weeks on Mallorca went by in a flash. We had a great time with sunny weather, a lot of fun in the swimming pool and good food and drinks. At the end of the stay we did miss home a little bit but as soon as we touched down in Stockholm we wanted to turn around and go back. I even managed to find the patience to finish two books – the first one was a book called “Into Thin Air” which is a memoir and true story about the 1996 Mount Everest disaster. I’ve actually read probably hundreds of memoirs and this one is definately one of the best I’ve ever read. I ordered this book after watching the documentary “The Summit” which is about a mountain expedition on K2 which went horribly wrong.
The other book I read was “The Universe” by a Swedish professor called Max Tegmark. Very facinating and some parts just makes your head spin, but truth be told it was a little bit too complicated at times and I found myself just skipping pages. If you’re into cosmology I can strongly recommend the documentary series called “Cosmos” with Neil deGrasse Tyson. Excellent stuff!
Soooo…when writing this we are actually planning the second leg of our vacation which will be a car trip in Europe. At the moment we’re planning on driving from Stockholm to Nuremberg in Germany. It’s at a good distance and seems to be a beautiful town with a rich history.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful summer and really looking forward to seeing you all on stream <3
