Bye Revlo, Welcome StreamElements

So Revlo recently announced they will cease their operations from June 16. Personally I really loved Revlo and it made streaming much more fun. It was simple to use for both the streamer and the users. Since I wanted to avoid having to go back to Ankhbot which I don’t like at all, mostly since it’s installed locally on the computer and not saved in the cloud, I went looking for a better alternative. It didn’t take long for me to stumble upon something called StreamElements.

At first glance it looks a bit more intimidating than Revlo. Not as clean and really not as simple. I still haven’t figure out how to do raffles but I’m sure it’s possible. However, I must say that StreamElements seems much more powerful than Revlo with a possibility to do more custom stuff.

The !gamble command is now replaced with the !roulette command so to gamble say 10 points you simply write !roulette 10. With StreamElements you can now also challenge other viewers with the !duel command. Type !duel (username of the viewer you want to duel) (the number of points you want to duel him/her for) so: !duel james 10.

I have setup the new store as well so it’s possible to start redeeming tickets again for the June cash wheel. You find the store here: https://streamelements.com/blackcatseven/store.

You can also check out all stream stats here: https://stats.streamelements.com/c/blackcatseven. (we’ll find good use for it later on) and leaderboard here: https://streamelements.com/blackcatseven/leaderboard (displaying the current number of points). If you want to see all commands available with StreamElements follow this link: https://streamelements.com/blackcatseven/commands.

Have fun 🙂

By the way. Check out this post by one of my readers on my article “Life of the streamer”. Very interesting.
